The purpose for gathering on Sundays for SS is to promote cohesiveness, promote the liking for this world wide sports as well as for healthier life style. When friends get together to indulge in things that is commonly liked amongst them, cohesiveness is thus built up slowly. SS is a rigorous sport which allows its participants to fully utilise almost each and every muscle in their body, at the same time pumping more adrenaline into our blood. This in return will move us towards the ideology of healthy lifestyle amongst the many smokers within the group currently.
The time line for this event is as follows:
- 1330hrs - fall in @ kopitiam for water parade / lunch
- 1345hrs - last orders for food / drinks are placed
- 1400hrs - food / drinks are to be consumed and finished
- 1415hrs - move out to ss court for change of clothes & warm up
- 1420hrs - players to divided into teams (last man to be keeper as informal punishment)
- 1430hrs - first shot out
- 1615hrs - first time out for smokers to take 5
- 1620hrs - to proceed as usual
- 1730hrs - to prepare and wrap up the game
- 1755hrs - cool down
- 1815hrs - move towards mama shop to get fluids. Gather back at void deck for AAR.
- 1825hrs - dispersal
Nominal roll is to be firmed up and submitted to Conducting Officer (in this case will be this particular blog) by 150407 0300hrs latest. Participants are to be informed that it is their own responsibilities to take care of their own well being during the event. As this is not a battalion event, no formal request for ambulance has been put up. Should there be a need, Supervising Officer's (LTA Ivan) vehicle will double up as an ambulance. However, first hand medical coverage will be provided on ground by CPL Tomy. Nearest hospital for evacuation purposes will be Changi General Hospital located at Simei st 3. Pls refer to Annex B (can be found in Supervising Officer's vehicle) for route.
Safety Specialist (3SG Kelvin) is to take note of weather changes and update the participants on CAT status. CAT pager aka mobile phone is to be brought out for monitoring purposes. Should there be inclement weather, all are to stay indoors till further notice by Safety Specialist. The Supervising Officer will ensure that the Safety Specialist is up to his job without any hiccups (interference from the opposite sex etc).
